Chef de Cuisine Amanda K. Lindquist brings passion and innovation to the culinary team of Azul Restaurant/Lounge, a new concept with a Mediterranean-inspired menu, wine list and alluring cocktails at the award-winning Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa, located in Tucson, AZ. The resort's lobby bar and restaurant, known for its fantastic views of the Catalina Mountains, has been transformed with dramatic blue lighting, deep lounge music and the truly instinctive and personal service that guests have come to expect. All combine for a sophisticated dining experience unlike any other, where Amanda helps guests enjoy flavorful dishes inspired by Mediterranean cuisine.
Amanda takes great pride in building a successful, imaginative culinary team, sharing a passion for the hospitality industry and a great love of delicious, original menu options as Chef de Cuisine. She graduated from the Culinary Arts OEM, Starwood Hotels Corporate Management Trainee Program, committed to developing creative cooking concepts to please any palette, executing beautifully plated presentations and coordinating all dining experiences with the Executive Chef and La Paloma in order to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Food and Beverage Management from Johnson and Wales University in November 2007 and an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts in May 2005, Amanda came to La Paloma to bring a fresh outlook to the cuisine featured at Azul Restaurant/Lounge. Amanda has over six years of experience in luxury hotel and restaurants, including experience as the Executive Banquet Chef and Executive Sous Chef at the Providence Hilton and Shula's 347 and the Chef de Cuisine for Zooma Bar and Ristorante, located in Providence, RI, before coming to La Paloma in January 2008.
